Austin Theory has been through a lot in WWE during the short time he’s been around. The NXT standout made his way to the main roster only to get sent back by Vince McMahon. His second run on the main roster is working out much better, and now he is the reigning United States Champion. Still, there are some who believe that Triple H isn’t making the most of him.

WWE United States Champion Austin Theory recently addressed rumors surrounding his alleged downfall by WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H. After all, a lot of fans direct any issues they have with WWE’s booking to Triple H.

During a recent conversation with The Babyfaces Podcast, Theory took the opportunity to discuss these speculations while reflecting on his journey within WWE.

“We all know on the internet it’s tomorrow you can be the greatest thing in the world and the next day you could suck. You know, I remember a time that the internet said, ‘man, this guy, he’s getting buried. He loses every match.’ When’s the last time I lost a match? And people still have something to say now. So, to me, as long as there’s something said, I’m doing what I need to do. But if there’s nothing being said, then there’s a worry there because people say your name for a reason whether it’s good or bad.”

In 2021, Austin Theory made his way to Monday Night RAW after the draft. He was then positioned as an on-screen protégé of Vince McMahon, receiving a substantial push within the red brand. However, following McMahon’s retirement in July 2022, the 26-year-old went through a prolonged period of losses that extended nearly two months. During this period, many fans suspected that Theory was being sidelined by the new Head of Creative, Triple H.

A lot of fans might like to think that Austin Theory is not getting the treatment he deserves, but Triple H is also doing a lot of things to make sure that his character has longevity. Only time will tell how Theory’s US Title defense against Santos Escobar goes, but it seems that there is a lot more story to tell with Theory in WWE.
