WWE Hall of Famer Edge has seen the pro wrestling industry change in many ways throughout his career. Being such a big name, it is no surprise that many people take his opinion seriously. That said, it appears Edge had a wholesome backstage interaction after Smackdown this week.
Edge himself stated that his WWE contract will be over after this week’s Smackdown ahead of his match with Sheamus. While that discussion still stayed in people’s minds, they were more focused on the in-ring action
Sheamus and Edge had a solid match in the main event of Smackdown, which received a ton of praise from fans and pro wrestlers alike. In the end, the Rated R Superstar pulled off the win.
WWE shared a video of Edge after the match, as he had a wholesome interaction with Sheamus as they embraced backstage while others gave them a round of applause.
Edge also stated that he wrestled his last match in Toronto after Smackdown this week. We will have to wait and see whether the Rated R Superstar will end up signing another WWE contract in the end.
