Florence Welch has revealed that she recently underwent emergency life-saving surgery.
The Florence + The Machine singer says she doesn’t “really feel strong enough” to go into the circumstances of the surgery. However, due to the procedure she was forced to canceled a pair of upcoming concerts in Portugal and Spain.
“Suffice to say I wish the songs were less accurate in their predictions,” Welch wrote in a letter to fans. “But creativity is a way of coping, mythology is a way of making sense. And the dark fairytale of [the band’s latest album] Dance Fever, with all its strange prophecies, will provide me with much needed strength and catharsis right now.”
