Are you looking for a t-shirt that communicates both your love for pop punk and your preference that presidents generally abide by the rule of law? Well, look no further — Green Day has just what you need. On Friday, August 25th, the band shared to Instagram that they’ll be selling a limited-run of t-shirts featuring Donald Trump’s mugshot interpolated with the artwork for their classic 1997 record, Nimrod. Check out the shirts below.

“Good Riddance,” the caption to Green Day’s post begins, before explaining that the “ultimate Nimrod” shirts will only be available for a 72-hour window. Continuing, the band threw in a joke about donating the proceeds towards the “Giuliani Legal Defense Fund,” but then made it clear that the actual money will be going to Greater Good Music Charity to help provide food for those affected by the Maui fires.

The shirts are available to pre-order now, and will be “released” on September 29th, according to Green Day’s store. They come in sizes ranging from Small to 3xL, and run $35 before tax and shipping.

The original album art for Nimrod was designed to poke fun at America’s propagandized conception of idyllic society. Art director for the album, Chris Bilheimer, was first inspired to create the cover after seeing a political poster that had been vandalized to remove a politician’s face. He described the sight as “striking,” and began thinking of ways the band could play with the same image, something that could show “a typical middle-age male, corporate politician American kind of guy, and someone completely [takes] his identity away through vandalism.”

Trump became the first US president in history to have a mugshot taken after he turned himself in and was booked at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on Thursday, August 24th. The former president — who is facing charges of racketeering and related offenses — shared the photo himself on Twitter that evening, marking his first post on the platform since he was banned during the aftermath of January 6th in 2021.

Meanwhile, Green Day recently announced that they’ll be reissuing their third album Dookie as a box set in honor of the record’s 30th anniversary. Earlier this year, they shared a similar box set commemorating the 25th anniversary of Nimrod. Later this year, they’ll be headlining the festivals Louder Than Life in Louisville and When We Were Young in Las Vegas. Grab your tickets here.
