WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has accomplished a lot during his time in WWE, having a remarkable rookie year and going on to become a legend in the business. He gained favor with the likes of Vince McMahon, earning his trust in the process. It appears he made an interesting admission recently.

The Olympic Gold Medallist earned several accolades throughout his career, including becoming a multi-time World Champion. Angle has also faced many legendary pro wrestlers in his career, which includes the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker and more.

In 2006, Kurt Angle debuted what arguably became his best gimmick, as he was simply known as the ‘Wrestling Machine.’ However, he would also end up leaving WWE that tear and make his way to TNA shortly afterwards.

While speaking on the Kurt Angle Show on AdFreeShows.com, the Olympic Gold Medalist stated that he believes he would have been the greatest of all time, had he not left WWE to join TNA back in 2006.

“This is a really, really difficult question because I don’t regret going to TNA. I absolutely love TNA. I’d love my 11 years there. You know, I probably would have stayed if the money didn’t run out, but I knew it was my time to go back to WWE and I wanted to finish my career where I started. But when I go back, the one thing I would love to change is I wish I didn’t get injured so much because that’s what caused my painkiller problem and then my painkiller problem caused me to leave the WWE because I felt like if I wasn’t gonna leave, I was gonna end up doing something pretty bad, which was overdose on painkillers. So I thought it was right for me to leave, but if I wouldn’t have left the WWE and I would have wrestled there 20 straight years, I really believe to this day I’d be the greatest of all time.”

Kurt Angle also regretted not having huge merchandise sales like Steve Austin and John Cena. He also recently turned down a WWE Draft appearance. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Angle as a WWE return could happen in the future.

What’s your opinion on what Kurt Angle said? Do you still consider him the greatest of all time? Let us know in the comments!
