But it seems that Halid wants to keep her around for the eye candy she is while having his fling on the side.

Lies Become You Chapter 62 had Priestess Lacey (an alias) help out with the people of the slum. Though she was doing her regular duty, her mind was elsewhere, and that led her to not enjoy it as much. The servant whom she comes with is observant of this and asks if she wants some clear air.
Before she could say anything, the guy asked her to stop as they were getting close to the barrier. The barrier is something that surrounds the kingdom and doesn’t let the mutant kind enter the place. However, the mutants who used to fear it are showing no reaction to its presence whatsoever, and neither to Lacey.
Lacey has holy protection on her and thus is the most lethal thing to the monsters. However, they don’t seem to care. Lacey’s servant explains that the mutants have left their humanity far behind and no longer feel any fear. The female protag doesn’t know what to say to that, but she took him at his word, she did give them a little thought while returning to the palace.

The male lead will act in a way that looks like he is on the side of the female lead, but the woman beside her will be smug-faced. Lacey wouldn’t know how to act in this under her usual response of acting with dignity.
The story feels dragged out at this point. The conflict feels artificial and is there only to entice readers to come back for the next chapter. That is not uncommon in manhwa, but in romance-type genre, it can feel infuriating to have characters act in this way. And that is exactly what has been happening with our characters; the question is how long this will go on.
