Matt Hardy is a true veteran in the pro wrestling business, having constantly reinvented himself over the years. Due to his extensive knowledge of the pro wrestling world, his opinion is taken seriously all the time. Now it appears he made a big claim about his Impact Wrestling contract.

After parting ways with WWE in 2010, Matt Hardy made his way to Impact Wrestling in January 2011 at TNA Genesis as the surprise opponent for Rob Van Dam. Naturally, this was a big deal for fans of Matt Hardy.

Unfortunately, Matt Hardy’s initial TNA run was not a long one as he was suspended by the company in June and then released in August following a DUI arrest.

While speaking on the latest episode of the Xtreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy was asked how long his contract was for. He was then asked how much the contract was worth. Hardy revealed that he made over $300K annually from his contract.

“I signed for three years when I first signed with TNA. It was a three-year deal. It was good. It was really good. It also allowed me to do outside things. It was a really good deal. I think it was around $300,000, and you could do stuff outside of wrestling as well. It was upwards of $300,000. It gained a little bit each year.”

Hardy returned to Impact Wrestling in 2014 to once again reunite with his brother Jeff Hardy. During that time, he introduced fans to ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy until his departure back in 2017. Hardy is currently happy working in AEW and that is all that matters to him right now.
