Matt Riddle might have entered WWE as a big name from MMA, and the indie wrestling world, but things haven’t panned out for him like many thought. It was first through that Matt Riddle would be on top of WWE, but this week’s episode of RAW saw him lose clean to Ludwig Kaiser, and that was not a great sign.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Riddle’s lack of a push in WWE has nothing to do with his personal life, but it’s still hard to give him too much responsibility on any brand with so much drama. After all, his NSFW video leaked a few weeks ago, and that was only the tip of the iceberg.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Matt Riddle’s loss to Ludwig Kaiser on RAW this week was not a good sign. If anything, WWE has made the decision not to build anything substantial around Riddle thanks to his personal controversies.
“WWE they’ve made the decision that they’re not pushing him, and there are good reasons. Riddle seems to get in trouble too often, so he’s not the guy they’re gonna build around or anything like that. They still kept him from losing clean to Kaiser, and then when he did, I was like, ‘wow he’s lower than I thought he was.’”
Only time will tell what Matt Riddle does next. He might have a lot of controversies around his name, but he is still a beloved WWE Superstar by many. That being said, WWE isn’t likely to give him an incredible push any time soon.
Matt Riddle continued his losing ways this week on RAW. Also, he wasn’t announced for a SummerSlam match, even the Slim Jim Battle Royal. It will be interesting to see what’s next for him.
