Bray Wyatt passed away at 36-years-old, and the pro wrestling world is in mourning. This is unthinkable, and it came out of nowhere. Wyatt worked with a lot of people throughout his life, including Paul Wight. Although Wight is in London, and preparing for AEW All London, news of Bray Wyatt’s passing rocked him.
Bray Wyatt suffered from a heart attack and passed away. He fought COVID-19 previously this year, and it caused issues with his heart that eventually took his life. Sadly, he was just starting to look toward a return to the ring when the unthinkable happened.
While speaking with Inside The Ropes, Paul Wight spoke about Bray Wyatt. His tribute was tear-filled, and Wight spoke from the heart as he remembered Windham Rotunda.
“I’m gonna be real honest about it. I’m still kinda numb from it. When I think about Bray, all I think about is his laugh, and his smile. How no matter what we were doing he was so happy to see me, and he gave me a hug. It doesn’t feel real right now, but I’ve been around a long time, and lost a lot of good friends. That’s just, unfortunately, that’s just a part of getting older.”
Paul Wight fought back tears during this interview, and it’s not hard to see why. Bray Wyatt was a great friend to so many, and he was also beloved throughout the pro wrestling world. Wight also made a quip about how hard it was to transition back into talking about All In London after that emotional question about Bray.
We are sending out our best to JoJo Offerman, Bray Wyatt’s children, and his entire family. We cannot imagine the great loss they are going through right now. This week’s episode of SmackDown should be a very special one as well, and very emotional for many.
