Tattoo artist Joey Cox is paying tribute to the late WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt by pledging to donate the proceeds from any tattoos related to Wyatt’s character to his family.

Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, tragically passed away at the age of 36 earlier this week. The wrestling world was shocked by his sudden death, and fans and fellow wrestlers have been honoring his memory in various ways.

Windham Rotunda’s passing was attributed to heart issues that were exacerbated by his battle with COVID-19. Despite his removal from WWE programming earlier in the year, creative plans for his return were reportedly in the works at the time of his untimely death.

In the wake of Wyatt’s passing, tributes have been pouring in from all corners of the wrestling community. This week’s SmackDown was dedicated to his memory, and several WWE Superstars, including Karrion Kross, Shotzi, and Braun Strowman, got tattoos featuring Wyatt’s signature logo as a way of paying their respects.

Joey Cox, a tattoo artist at DeepSearch Tattoo, had the honor of creating these heartfelt tributes to Bray Wyatt. Taking to Facebook, Cox expressed his deep appreciation for Wyatt’s character and the impact he had on fans’ lives. Cox announced that he would be donating the proceeds from any “Firefly tattoos” – designs inspired by Wyatt’s character – to Rotunda’s family. This gesture aims to ensure that Wyatt’s family is well taken care of, in line with his wishes.

“We did this out of pure love for Windham. We never did it for the recognition, but simply because we loved the character Windham was able to bring to life on so many levels and his ability to touch the lives of everyone around him. He truly had the whole world in his hands. And to add to all of this, any fan wanting a ‘firefly tattoo,’ I will donate the proceeds to Windham’s family so that we can ensure they are forever taken care of just like Windham would have wanted!”

In addition to Joey Cox’s touching gesture, WWE itself has also stepped up to contribute. The company announced that proceeds from Bray Wyatt merchandise sales will be donated to JoJo, Rotunda’s wife, and their four children. These heartfelt actions from both individuals and organizations highlight the deep impact that Windham Rotunda had on the wrestling world and the lives of those he touched.
