About The Show
The seven-part series, which is based on Holly Ringland’s best-selling debut novel, tells the gripping tale of Alice Hart. In the wake of the terrible loss of her parents in a mysterious fire, nine-year-old Alice is sent to live with her grandmother June at the Thornfield flower farm.
There, she discovers that her family’s history is filled with hidden secrets. This captivating family tale spans decades and is set against Australia’s beautiful natural backdrop, with native wildflowers and plants serving as a means of expressing the indescribable.
Alice’s journey develops to an emotional climax as she moves past her difficult background and finds herself in a life-or-death struggle with a guy she loves. Alycia Debnam-Carey, who is most known for her role as Alicia Clark in Fear the Walking Dead as well as for appearances in Saint X and The 100, will play the title character of Alice Hart.
Sigourney Weaver, a Hollywood legend who has appeared in films like Ghostbusters, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Master Gardener most recently, will play Alicia’s grandma, June Hart. Then there is Sally Morgan, played by Asher Keddie (Nine Perfect Strangers), Twig North, portrayed by Leah Purcell (Wentworth), and Candy Blue, portrayed by Frankie Adams (The Expanse).
