Turnstile threw out the first pitch at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday (August 8) before the Major League Baseball game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Houston Astros. Don your best umpire impression and watch a replay of the moment via Brooklyn Vegan.

Turnstile’s Pat McCrory did the honors, throwing to Orioles catcher James McCann. After leading 6-0 after the 2nd inning, the home team would go on to lose 7-6 after Astros left fielder Kyle Tucker’s game-winning grand slam home run in the top of the 9th.

As Baltimore natives, throwing the opening pitch to an Orioles game was a rite of passage for the melodic hardcore band. Turnstile’s most recent album, Glow On, came out in 2021. They wrapped up their tour with Blink-182 last month, but they still have a few tour dates left, including festival performances at Riot Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.

Turnstile’s Brendan Yates was also nominated today for an MTV VMA for his direction of Paramore’s “This Is Why” video.
