Austin Theory is steadily building his reputation as one of WWE’s up-and-coming talents, showcasing his skills on television each week. After winning the United States Championship, Theory had high hopes to become a major star. Now it appears Theory claimed he is more of a workhorse than Seth Rollins.

The United States Champion defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year and this ended up shocking fans as they believed there was no way Theory was going to win.

Austin Theory had one of the longest reigns as United States Champion in WWE history, but it all ended after he lost to Rey Mysterio earlier this month. While speaking on the WWE After the Bell with Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick podcast, Austin Theory hit back at his critics and then claimed that he is more of a workhorse than Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins? That’s a funny one too, calling him the workhorse, but look at how many times I defended the United States Championship. Look up how many matches Austin Theory has had in 2023.

Theory held the US Championship for 258 days and will remain in the record books as one of the longest-reigning United States Champions of all time. We’ll have to see whether he will invoke his rematch clause on Rey Mysterio soon.

What’s your view on what Austin Theory said? Did you enjoy his reign as the United States Champion? Let us know in the comments!
