EC3’s career in WWE has been largely criticized by fans as the company has underutilized him on the main roster. He eventually parted ways with WWE back in 2020 and has never looked back since. Now it appears that EC3 demanded Lacey Evans’ entrance theme be turned off at the gym.
After his departure, EC3 made his return to Impact Wrestling where he had a brief stint. After that, he competed in other promotions, including ROH and eventually founded his Control Your Narrative promotion. However, that endeavour did not prove to be a successful one.
Lacey Evans is no longer part of WWE and has teased opening up an OnlyFans profile. Prior to that, Evans signed with WWE back in 2016 and was part of NXT for a while.
While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, EC3 talked about Lacey Evans’ WWE departure and made it clear WWE Creative didn’t do her justice. That said, EC3 admitted that he demanded Lacey Evans’ NXT theme be turned off at the gym.
“I mean, duh! It’s WWE creative. I really liked what she did with big history buffs, you know, the pin-up World War II kind of model stuff, you know, when she came in as a character. But her theme song in NXT absolutely drove me crazy. I remember demanding it be turned off because we kept playing it on repeat in the gym, and I damn near had a seizure. She is cool. Living on the land is cool. Her husband’s got big ears. But you know, it is a wasted opportunity for sure.”
EC3 also once outsmarted WWE and kept his name during his time in the company. As for Lacey Evans, she is opening sunny Summer cafe following her WWE departure. We’ll have to see if Evans ever returns to WWE somewhere down the line.
